Palo Alto Legal Secretaries Association is a nonprofit educational association for legal secretaries and professionals whose members value ethics, professionalism, and continuing legal education.  PALSA was founded 31 years ago by a small group of smart women, and is one of approximately 50 sister organizations throughout the State of California, as part of LSI (Legal Secretaries, Incorporated). 

 

PALSA was formed in 1977 to support legal secretaries through education and networking in a demanding profession, where quality standards and client expectations are always growing.

The Bay Area Legal Secretaries Forum ("BALSF") plays a key role in running and overseeing quarterly workshops and annual educational seminars in various locations throughout the year.

 

PALSA conducts quarterly board meetings in which the business of the association is maintained, and holds quarterly membership meetings on the third Tuesday of every January, April, August and December, at which speakers are featured to discuss legal education and other professional development topics.
