PALPA offers the following benefits and programs, in addition to others:

  • Subscription to The Legal Secretary magazine;
  • Membership meetings with featured guest speakers;
  • Credit Union membership (through LSI);
  • Special discounts with Hertz and Costco;
  • California Certified Legal Secretary program (CCLS)

Applicants are required to have been continuously employed as a legal professional for a period of at least one year and attend two General Meetings within six months.

Annual dues for memberships are $55 for first-time members; $45 for existing members renewing for one year; and $35 for students.

Please let us know after you have attended two Palo Alto LPA General Meetings within the necessary period of time.  You'll then need to complete the New Membership Application and attach a check for dues.  You can forward these to the contact name and address on the Application or give them to a Board member at the next meeting you attend.
